February at E.A. White Elementary was a month filled with joy, creativity, and community spirit. The excitement began when our K-5 students celebrated the 100th day of school. The hallways were roaring with laughter as some students arrived dressed as if they were 100 years old, complete with canes and glasses, while others proudly wore their custom-made 100th day t-shirts.Â
As the month progressed, we embraced the spirit of kindness with a heartwarming series of events designed to spread positivity and friendship throughout our school community. Students and staff participated in challenges that encouraged acts of kindness, creating a positive atmosphere for everyone.
Our school also hosted Parent University, a special event for E.A. White parents and guardians. They gathered to learn about CRA strategies in math, ways to enhance their children's writing skills at home, and techniques to help their kids navigate big feelings. It was a valuable opportunity for parents to gain insights and tools to support their children's education and emotional well-being.
The excitement continued with the Pre-K 100th Day of School celebration. Our youngest students dazzled the runway in a fabulous fashion show, showcasing their unique styles and boundless creativity. This event was more than just a fashion show—it was a testament to their journey and growth over the school year.
Continuing the month's excitement, our PTO hosted David from The Story Ship for an amazing show! He worked with our Lions to unravel musical messages from space aliens using mathematics and sound science. The students were captivated by the interactive performance, which combined education and entertainment in a truly unique way.
We also hosted a playful and challenging Math Night event. The evening was filled with engaging math games and activities that brought our families together to celebrate the joy of learning. It was wonderful to see families working together, solving problems, and having fun with math.Â
The month concluded with our PTO's Stroll and Roll event. Students, families, and Lion staff came together to promote physical activity and celebrate school spirit. The event was a wonderful way to bring the community together, fostering a sense of unity and pride.
February was truly a memorable month at E.A. White Elementary, filled with moments of learning, laughter, and kindness. We look forward to more exciting events and activities in the coming months!
