Leadership Club’s Holiday Food Drive: A Heartwarming Success
During the month of October, E.A. White Elementary’s Leadership Club hosted a Holiday Food Drive in support of Fort Moore’s Battle Buddy Resource Center. The goal was to make the holiday season extra special for our military families, and our students rose to the challenge with enthusiasm and generosity.
To encourage participation, Leadership Club turned the food drive into a friendly grade-level competition. The grade with the most donations would win a Glow Slime Party, while the second-place winners would enjoy a movie during lunch.
On October 28, the winners were announced to much excitement and celebration. Kindergarten took the top spot with an incredible 563 items donated, earning them the coveted Glow Slime Party. Fourth grade followed closely behind with an impressive 452 items.
In total, our school community donated a remarkable 2,629 items to Fort Moore’s Battle Buddies Resource Center. This overwhelming generosity will undoubtedly make a significant impact on the lives of military families in our community.
Leadership Club extends a heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to the food drive. Ms. Baker, the Leadership Club Sponsor, expressed her gratitude, saying, “Thank you does not begin to express our sincere gratitude for the outstanding participation by all of the E.A. White family. Many will benefit from your kindness. The Leadership Club members did an outstanding job counting and organizing the items.”
Your support and kindness have made this initiative a resounding success. Together, we have shown the true spirit of giving and community.
Thank you for making a difference!
