Mrs. Eagley is a dedicated educator with over 20 years of experience. A native of Upstate New York, she began her teaching career and family life in the region. Her extensive qualifications include leadership skills, Trauma Informed Care training, Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports coordination, Differentiated Instruction specialization, curriculum development and implementation, and fostering positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
In 2003, Mrs. Eagley earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Psychology of Education with a minor in Education from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, NY. She furthered her education with a Master of Science in Education, specializing in Inclusive Education, from Nazareth College in Rochester, NY in 2005. In 2020, she obtained a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Administration, focusing on Building and District Leadership, from the University of Brockport in Rochester, NY.
Mrs. Eagley began her teaching career in 2005 at Midlakes Elementary School in the Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District, where she taught special education in a 4th grade co-taught classroom. As an alumna of Midlakes, she was proud to return as an educator. She continued to teach special education in grades 3-5 and a self-contained classroom for grades 2-5, emphasizing the concept of “Choices, Chances, and Changes” to reintegrate students into mainstream education.
In 2015, Mrs. Eagley transitioned to teaching special education at the middle and high school levels. She joined the Villa of Hope, a year-round program for students in grades 6-12 with 504 plans or IEPs, addressing their academic, social, behavioral, and emotional needs. Initially a science teacher, she later taught math and ELA, eventually becoming the ELA Curriculum Specialist and then the Math Curriculum Specialist. She later served as the Director of the Committee on Special Education, overseeing IEPs and 504 plans, chairing meetings, and coordinating between the school, outside districts, and parents. During her tenure, she successfully guided the school through a state audit, ensuring compliance with NYS standards.
In 2020, Mrs. Eagley joined the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) as a fourth-grade teacher at Charles P. Murray Elementary School at Fort Stewart. In 2022, she assumed the role of Assistant Principal at Edward A. White Elementary School, where she is dedicated to ensuring a consistent, safe, and supportive educational environment for military-connected children.
Mrs. Eagley resides in Columbus, Georgia with her husband, an Army veteran, her son, who recently enlisted in the Navy Reserves, and her other son, who is in high school. Mrs. Eagley considers it a privilege to support our military families and the students.
